Most overrated band in the world?

My hubby reckons that The Red Hot Chilli Peppers are the most overrated band in the world, admits they've had a few good records but........



I think they're great...what's the consensus?Most overrated band in the world?

yeah i dont think spice girls should be left out.

and as for the RHCP's - i used to like them when they were making a name for themselves back in the early 90's and do have some good songs but i dont listen to them much now. but they do have talent so wouldnt call them the most overrated.they know how to get a crowd going.

An over-rated band in my opinion would be ABBA, if you could call them a band.

Its definitely Lynrd Skynrd.. No hilbilly makes me listen to their music.. Lol!



The Red Hot Chillis i know are overrated. Dont get me wrong i love them! But they are often referred to as the best band in the world. They have got brilliant musicians . But they only make me SOME songs that are good.



Listen to their stadium arcadium album for example and you will only like some of em.

but in my opionion Blink 182 is extremly over rated, hell id give that title to the entire pop punk genre, since pop punk is over defining

Any new British indie band that's album has been totally hyped up by NME cause that's all it seems NME is capable of doing overly hyping up crap bands.

yes, they're an alright band, but they're not THAT good.
The Beatles
In my opinion it was the Beatles, they had a great publicity agency. There were many other bands and single artists coming out of Liverpool at the time, some of them far better than the Beatles. A lot of their music owed a lot to the American rock'n' rollers !
Somewhere between Fall Out Boy and Hawthorne Heights. They make RHCP look like rock Gods...
