they are only 2nd to the beatles, but favorite in my book.



they have 10 albums, and all are kick @ss!
ever is a long time, but if you assume(!) that it was started by the stones, then you have the who, pink floyd, zeppelin, ten years after, jimi hendrix experience-----manic street preachers----queen--- oasis---.



not sure ya has enough space for all the alternatives, and i agree with one of the other answerers that it depends on what type of rock you enjoy, listening to zappa when typing this, and man he he weird yet brilliant!Whats the best rock band ever?

Led Zeppelin

Oasis (All of their albums have gone #1 in the UK and many in North America, they have a 14X platinum album)



It really depends what you like and what you are looking for (i.e. most commercially successful, most influential, etc)
Guns n Roses, not the shitty new axl rose plus a few, the original 1987 Appetite for Destruction GnR. Sold more than 4 times the number of copies than any Foo Fighter albums, dont get me wrong, Growl's a legendWhats the best rock band ever?
I'd have to say a LOT of different bands. To name a few, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Guns N' Roses, Metallica, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, and TOO MANY MORE lol :)
